PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria man has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison following his conviction on methamphetamine distribution charges, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of Illinois announced.
Dione D. Alexander, 37, was sentenced September 18 to 120 months in prison, to be followed by five years of supervised release. Alexander entered a guilty plea in March 2026 and has remained in federal custody since his arrest in December 2024.
Prosecutors say that between September and November 2024, multiple individuals purchased methamphetamine and other controlled substances from Alexander on numerous occasions. The drugs involved included 474.2 grams of methamphetamine, 15.2 grams of fentanyl and 69.5 grams of cocaine.
In December 2024, law enforcement searched Alexander’s residence and found additional narcotics, a firearm, drug packaging materials and other items used in drug distribution. In total, Alexander was held accountable for the distribution of more than 9,500 kilograms of converted drug weight.
