PEORIA, Ill. – A trial date has been set for two men accused of murder in a fatal shooting and crash last month in South Peoria.
20-year-old Karon Hopkins and 18-year-old Dorrean Ellis entered not guilty pleads during a court appearance on Wednesday.
They will have a jury trial on November 2nd, with a pre-trial conference set for October 22nd.
Both are accused in the deaths of 26-year-old Malik Pickett and 52-year-old Gary Traylor in the early morning hours of August 22nd.
Pickett was shot outside the Vibes nightclub and later died, while Traylor died after allegedly being struck by the suspect vehicle.
