PEORIA, Ill. – Memorial Day Weekend is the unofficial kick off to summer.
And, if you’re hitting the road for the holiday, Illinois State Trooper Jayme Bufford has this advice.
“ISP is going to encourage people to designate that sober driver, or utilize a rideshare service. Keep your eyes focused on the roadway, and avoid all distractions. Make sure you watch your speed, and of course buckle up every trip.”
Illinois State Police will have extra troopers out looking for “Fatal Four” violations as part of the “Click It or Ticket” campaign statewide through Memorial Day.
