EAST PEORIA, Ill. – A memorial fund has been set up for the family of an East Peoria Police detective who will be laid to rest this week.
East Peoria Police says people can donate to the “The Vester Family Memorial Fund” at any Hometown Community Bank location.
The fund will support the wife and two sons of Detective Bob Vester, who passed away last week at the age of 41 from cardiac arrest.
A visitation that includes the Recitation of the Rosary and a law enforcement walk-through will be Wednesday 3:30-7:00 P.M. at Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home.
Funeral services will take place Thursday at 11:00 A.M. at St. Jude Catholic Church, with a visitation beforehand from 9:30-10:45 A.M. Graveside services will follow at the LaPrairie Presbyterian Cemetery in Sparland.
