(Undated) — Amid a growing shortage of qualified health care workers, UnityPoint Health is planning to host a job fair later this month for anyone interested in joining their ranks of nurses, technicians and hospital support staff in Central Illinois.
In a release issued Tuesday, UnityPoint says they’re looking for a diverse group of candidates who, “can contribute their time and talents to caring for our communities.”
Health systems have faced dwindling staff levels for months since the COVID-19 pandemic took hold.
Infections from the recent Omicron wave along with some staff more recently leaving over vaccine mandates has created even more openings.
Unity Point Health is hosting its job fair on Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the student union on campus at Carl Sandburg College in Galesburg.
