PEORIA HEIGHTS, Ill. – A truly all-day event is being held in Peoria Heights this weekend.
Village Board of Trustees Member Theresa Symonds says there’ll be continuous entertainment during the Great Heights Jamboree from Noon-11 p.m.
“We’re going to have food vendors, we’re going to have music all day with the Central Illinois Banjo Club, New Cats (Blue Grass Trio), Frank’s Hot Dog Eating Contest,” Symonds says.
She tells WMBD’s “Greg and Dan Show ” that there will also be free carriage rides, free Tower rides, tons of activities for the kids, military tributes and more.
Pour Brothers’ owner Rob Mathison says the non-stop music is going to be outrageously great.
“Brain Child is going to knock your socks off…with some of the best guitar players in the area, right into a Tom Petty tribute band (The Damned Torpedoes). And then I want you to know about a guy named Kris Lager and his band from Omaha, Nebraska. 20 years on the road. Blues, funk, soul, Mathison says.
