PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria man has been sentenced to three years in federal prison for distributing methamphetamine.
38-year-old Alton Blue was sentenced on May 12th by U.S. District Judge Jonathan E. Hawley.
In addition to the three-year prison term, he will also serve five years of supervised release.
Blue pleaded guilty in January to two counts of distribution of methamphetamine after an investigation that began in December of 2024.
According to the Justice Department, Blue was responsible for distributing at least 1,286.29 grams of methamphetamine.
The case was investigated by the Peoria Area Federal Firearms Task Force, which includes the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the Peoria Police Department, the Peoria County Sheriff’s Department, and the Illinois State Police.
