PEORIA, Ill. – It looks like there’s a strong possibility of severe weather returning to Central Illinois late in the day Thursday.
25 News First Alert Chief Meteorologist Brian Walder has designated Thursday a First Alert Weather Day for the possibility of severe storms Thursday evening through early Thursday night.
“Strong wind gusts upward of at least 60-70 miles per hour and hail upward of 1-2 inches in diameter will be the primary concerns. The tornado risk is low, but not zero,” Walder says.
Before the storms arrive, expect record warmth on Thursday, as highs soar into the 80s in the afternoon.
