PEORIA, Ill. – Anyone with an interest in engineering is invited to the Peoria Riverfront Museum this Sunday.
Senior Planetarium Educator Nick Rae says there will be activities for all ages, and admission is free.
“We’ll have a whole bunch of engineering groups and firms set up in the museum’s lobby and auditoriums, and they’ll be providing activities for visitors, engineering-related activities. We’ll have a nice bridge bust competition for middle school students that will be taking place in the Giant Screen Theater,” Rae says.
He says there’s really something for everyone to enjoy.
“Fun stuff for kids, stuff for older students who are interested (in engineering), as well as stuff for adults. And, you get free admission to all the museum’s galleries and exhibits as well…including the new BUILT exhibit about custom-made cars,” Rae says.
All of the Planetarium shows will be free on Sunday too.
The CAT Visitors Center is also offering free admission on Sunday, with engineering-centered activities there as well.
