PEORIA COUNTY, Ill. – One person is dead after a multi-vehicle crash in Peoria County Thursday night.
The Peoria County Sheriff’s Office says the crash occurred at around 5:15 P.M. near the intersection of Hanna City-Glasford and Lancaster Roads.
Deputies say three vehicles were involved in the crash, with a Ford van rolled over several times and caught on fire. The driver of the van was pronounced dead at the scene.
The sheriff’s office says the van was southbound on Hanna City-Glasford Road when it struck a GMC SUV in the rear several times. The van then passed the SUV and struck a northbound B-M-W head-on.
A 76-year-old male and a 77-year-old female in the SUV were taken to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center with minor injuries. A 65-year-old male and a 13-year-old in the BMW were taken to OSF with serious injuries.
The sheriff’s office says it is not known at this time if the actions of the van drive were intentional or medical-related.
The crash is under investigation. The Logan-Trivoli Fire Department was assisted by the Timber-Hollis Fire Department and the sheriff’s office at the scene of the crash.

Several people needed to be extricated from their vehicles. Four people were taken to OSF Saint Francis, with one of the four taken by Air-Evac.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
Logan-Trivoli was assisted by the Timber-Hollis Fire Department and the sheriff’s office at the scene of the crash.
