LEWISTOWN, Ill. – A 39-year-old Canton man has been identified as the victim in a fatal shooting at a Fulton County grocery store Tuesday night.
Fulton County Coroner Austin Rhodes identified the victim as Levi Blair, and his death has been ruled a homicide.
The shooting occurred just before 7:00 P.M. at the County Market on South Main in Lewistown, with deputies responding to a call regarding an adult male with a gunshot wound to the head.
Blair was taken to Graham Hospital where he succumbed to his wounds. Rhodes says an autopsy is scheduled for Friday.
33-year-old Nicholas Pratt of Ipava has been charged with First Degree Murder in connection to the shooting, along with numerous other charges.
The shooting remains under investigation by Lewistown Police, the Fulton County Sheriff’s and Coroner’s Offices, and Illinois State Police.
