EUREKA, Ill. – Eureka Police say a man has been arrested after an investigation into child abuse.
The department says it worked with the Woodford County Sheriff’s Department and DCFS to investigate on Friday
27-year-old Logan Lowery was arrested later in the day as a result of the investigation.
Lowery allegedly beat a four-year-old child in his care with his fist, a heating pad electrical cord, and a belt.
The four-year-old was taken to a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
Lowery is charged with Aggravated Battery to a Child and Aggravated Domestic Battery.
As of Monday morning, Lowery did not have a scheduled court appearance.
