PEORIA, Ill. – If you’re looking for fun things to do this week indoors, look no further than the Peoria Riverfront Museum.
Renae Kerrigan, the Museum’s Curator of Science and Planetarium Director, says not only do they have plenty of A/C, the “Sharks” exhibit will make you kind of feel like you’re underwater.
“It’s a double dose of cooling for you, if you want to check it out and learn a little bit (about sharks) here at the museum,” Kerrigan says.
The “Sharks” exhibit includes details about 500 species from around the world.
Once you come to see “Sharks”, Kerrigan says, you can come back to the Peoria Riverfront Museum for special tours throughout the summer, and even get stamps for your ‘passport’ and prizes too.”
The “Sharks” exhibit will be at the Peoria Riverfront Museum through Labor Day Weekend.
Kerrigan also suggests checking out daily shows in the museum’s Planetarium, including “The Sky Tonight”.
“We also have a live tour of the universe everyday as well, and then our feature show for the summer is a recorded immersive show…is on super massive black holes,” Kerrigan says.
There are also movies to see at the Giant Screen Theater throughout the week.
