PEORIA, Ill. – A teenager is facing multiple charges, including aggravated DUI and reckless driving, after allegedly causing a nine-vehicle crash in East Peoria on Sunday afternoon.
East Peoria Police arrested 19-year-old Dawson Seldal of Peoria.
The crash happened around 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of Camp Street and North Main Street. Five of the nine vehicles in the crash had to be towed.
Main Street was closed from Camp Street to the Springfield Road extension for about an hour and a half.
Seldal and a woman were taken to a hospital for their injuries.
Along with aggravated DUI and reckless driving, Seldal is also charged with improper lane usage, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and DUI/drugs.
Police are still investigating.
