WEST PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria County Sheriff Chris Watkins says a Peoria woman is jailed on suspicion of committing a drive-by shooting in West Peoria.
Watkins says 31-year-old Tyrea Neely was arrested on charges of Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm in a Building and Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon.
The shooting happened around 6:15 p.m. Monday on Gentry Court in West Peoria.
Witnesses said they heard shots then saw a vehicle they were familiar with flee the scene.
Neely was arrested a few hours later. She remains in jail pending future court appearances, including a detention hearing.
