EAST PEORIA, Ill. – A new place to grab a burger in central Illinois opens to the public for the first time this weekend.
Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers will have its first day Saturday.
The restaurant is located in the East Peoria Levee District, next to Moe’s Southwest Grill.
Before this weekend, the nearest Freddy’s to the Peoria-area was in Springfield, which has two locations.
The chain began in 2002 and was named after the father of the founders, Bill and Randy Simon.
