PEORIA, Ill. – One man was injured following a midday shooting in South Peoria Thursday.
Peoria Police say a ShotSpotter alert was detected on West Antoinette Street around 11:30 a.m. A victim was found not far away near Marquette and Stanley.
A police spokesperson says the victim was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the arm that’s not expected to be life-threatening.
It’s not far away from a shooting Monday night where several dozen shots were fired that left another man injured.
