PEORIA, Ill. – A second person has died after a crash Thursday evening in Peoria.
The crash occurred just after 9:15 P.M. at Allen and Altorfer, where a mid-sized sedan and an SUV collided head-on with entrapment.
Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood says 25-year-old Maria Del Rosario Cortes Salinas was the front seat passenger in the sedan, and died Friday morning at around 9:30 A.M. He says 21-year-old Donaciano Jimenez Hernandez was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
Harwood says both suffered multiple blunt force trauma injuries that were inconsistent with life. He adds that both were wearing seat belts.
A third adult and an infant were both injured in the crash.
