MEXICO CITY, Feb 27 (Reuters) – Mexican state energy company Pemex booked a net loss of 155.23 million pesos ($8.62 million) and revenues of 362.45 billion pesos for the fourth quarter of last year, a filing with the Mexican stock exchange on Friday showed.
Pemex and its partners pumped an average of 1.65 million barrels per day (bpd) of crude oil and condensates during months from October to December and refined 1.14 million bpd.
With many fields, especially in the Gulf of Mexico, being depleted and new discoveries not living up to expectations, the company has struggled to meet the government’s ambitious production goal of 1.8 million bpd.
Pemex reported a financial debt of $85.2 billion at the end of the quarter, and that it had received 395.3 billion pesos in support from the government last year.
