PEORIA, Ill. – One man was injured after a shooting in South Peoria early Thursday morning.
Peoria Police says officers responded after two shots were fired in the area of Marquette and Westmoreland, just before 1:45 A.M.
A 36-year-old man was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after suffering an apparent gunshot wound.
Police were not able to find any suspects in a search of the surrounding area.
The shooting is under investigation.
