PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria Police are just now providing details about four people arrested Friday afternoon on weapons charges following a chase with police.
Police say it started prior to 2:00 p.m. as they saw a wanted subject leaving a West Proctor Street home with two others, later picking someone else up on Griswold.
The vehicle fled from a traffic stop at Jefferson and Western, with all four fleeing on foot after the vehicle crashed near Starr and Western.
All four were later caught, with an AR-style pistol allegedly located inside the car.
The driver of the car Bailey’s vehicle allegedly hit had minor injuries.
Among the arrested:
*Dennis Bailey III, 20: Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, No FOID Card, Aggravated Fleeing and Eluding, Aggravated Reckless Driving, Obstructing Justice, Resisting Police, and other traffic violations
*Sapien Moore, 21: Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, No FOID Card, Resisting Police
*Andre Whitaker, 19: Aggravated Domestic Battery, Unlawful Restraint, Criminal Damage to Property, Resisting Police
*Male Juvenile, 17: Resisting Police, Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, No FOID Card, Possession of a Handgun Under 21, warrant
All three adults were given Notices to Appear in court and were released from jail, according to records. It’s not clear if the juvenile is still in the Juvenile Detention Center
