PEORIA, Ill. – A fire that broke out in a garage in South Peoria is said to be an arson.
That’s according to Peoria Firefighters, who say they discovered the two-car garage near South Livingston and West Humboldt to be completely engulfed in flames when they arrived around 2:25 p.m. Monday.
It took more than 35 minutes to put the fire out, but the garage is now said to be a total loss.
Three houses nearby sustained minor damage.
It’s not clear what otherwise caused the fire that, in total, did as much as $45,000 in damage.
