PEORIA, Ill. – One man was taken to the Peoria County Jail after a traffic stop on Friday night.
Peoria Police said the stop occurred on East Arcadia St. by North Central Avenue.
Authorities said a search of the vehicle turned up cannabis, drug paraphernalia, and a loaded weapon. Police said the weapon was not stolen.
Caitlin Carwell and Lamell Carwell, both 24-years-old, were taken in by police for questioning.
Police said Lamell Carwell was then taken to the Peoria County Jail on a possession of cannabis charge. Caitlin Carwell was given a charge of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and given a notice to appear.
